Head out to Dauphin for a weekend of song, dance, costumes and cuisine at Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival! From cultural displays and entertainment to learning the art of pysanky (Ukrainian Easter egg decorating) and designing your own very special souvenir, to enjoying fresh bread from wood-fired ovens, Dauphin becomes a focal point for all things Ukrainian.
The festival site boasts an 11,000 seat amphitheatre, three outdoor stages, vendor booths, Ukrainian Musicians Hall of Fame, as well as a Memorial Park and Heritage Village. Dance groups at this year’s festival include Hromovytsia Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Suzirya Ukrainian Dance Theatre, Zirka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Sche Raz, Bratstva Studios, Canada’s National Riding & Dancing Cossacks, and Zabutnyy Dancers. Bands on stage include Rve Hrebliu, Kalyna, By Request, The Ukrainian Old Timers, Dunai, Darmohrai, PTO, The Sawchuk Sisters, and The Ukrainians.
