If you’re a horse lover, the Arabian & Half-Arabian Championship is a must-see event! This international competition has over 700 of the world’s most recognizable horse breeds in Brandon to compete in 187 different classes in youth, western, dressage, hunter and English disciplines.
One of the most exciting classes is the mounted native costume classes. Costumes are representative of those used by ancient Bedouins when they charged across the desert sands to engage their enemy in battle. Horses are shown at the walk, canter and hand-gallop. The Arabian horse’s beauty and colorful heritage combine to make this one of the most exciting and popular classes with spectators.
