The 14th WAVE Artists’ Studio Tour gets underway the weekend of June 13-14 this year. With 31 studios to visit, there is a lot to see and experience. One day never seems like enough time. The best way to solve that dilemma – Why not make it an ART Weekender!
Here are some steps to follow: Obtain a brochure with a list of studios and a map. Find a place to spend the Saturday night. Reserve your accommodation for Saturday night – book a room in a hotel, lodge, at a B & B, or bunk in with family or friends. Camping and RVing are also options. Develop a plan of action to fill your two days with amazing art.
Clay, fibre, glass, jewellery, wood, paper, stone, painting, and photography are the mediums represented by the artists on the WAVE Tour. Watch for the blue flags! Highways 7, 8 or 9 lead to roads that take you to ART pit stops, from Meleb in the North to Oak Hammock Marsh in the South, with dozens of stops in between. Along the way you can observe nature in the Interlake, have a picnic in a park, or dine in one of the many cafes and restaurants.
Fuel your creative juices and get inspired with high octane art to keep your motor running! Our studio doors will be open to welcome you. Until then travel with us virtually on Twitter, Facebook, and www.watchthewave.ca.
