We may not be Martha Stewart, but here in Manitoba we like to think of ourselves as a rather crafty bunch. We can craft a wicked and terrifying Halloween attraction and we can craft the most delectable fall supper. We tend to get creative when thrown into nature (see Wildcraft) and our seasonal craft shows are a shopper’s paradise. What’s more, we certainly aren’t afraid to think outside the box – whether it be for a unique theatrical production or a niche festival. Here’s what’s hot this week…

Celebrate our visitor centre’s grand opening

By day, families (and those who don’t like to be scared) can walk through interactive venues, meet Mother Goose and her petting farm and embark on a hay ride. The Famous Barn of Doom is tuned down during the day and geared for ages 10+. By night, older kids and adults line up for the bone-chilling Barn of Doom’s Six Pines Mortuary, the Scary Terror Train and the CARNEVIL. As if we weren’t already terrified of clowns.
