This week is all about deciding to go outdoors or indoors, and with the particularly stunning fall weather we’re experiencing, both will be equally as enjoyable. Start outdoors with the NHL Heritage Classic before heading in for a tribute show, a haunted museum or a concert experience.

Cheer on legendary players at the Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic™

The 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic™ kicks off on Saturday, October 22 at the Investors Group Field as legendary players from the Jets and the Oilers hit the ice for a special outdoor alumni game that pays tribute to hockey history. Hockey superstars making an appearance include Dale Hawerchuk and Teemu Selanne, along with the Oilers’ Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier. On October 23, the Winnipeg Jets take on the Oilers for a regular season game on the same outdoor ice.

Welcoming the Manitoba Moose back was a no brainer! AHL hockey has never been more exciting as the home opener of the season brings the fans to the stands. This week, head to the MTS Centre to watch the Moose take on the Bakersfield Condors on October 18 and 20.

Nothing says fall quite like hay rides, corn mazes and pumpkin patches. Don your boots, scarf and sweater and head out to A Maze in Corn for all of the above, plus a petting zoo, pony rides, exhilarating zip-lining and a spooky Haunted Forest. The Scarecrow Forest in Steinbach has just about every farm activity you could think of, from Bales of Fun to Pig Races. Other options include Deer Meadow Farms, Boonstra Farms and Meandher Farms. Might as well make a fun day out of it and declare a Corn Maze Road Trip!
